Hi, I see you use blogspot as well and you've got a beautiful personalized header- i love it- If you get a chance to share how you were able to upload that as your header so i could upload a picture or somethign fancier myself i would be realy greatful.
Hello "beginning knitter" and thanks for the kind words. I am not a beginner knitter, but I am a beginner blogger and struggled with the idea of creating my own header. So this is what I did: I purchased the photo for the header from istockphoto.com and then opened up the photo in a photodraw program. I added the text and the free form line and tried to make it look like the line came off the yarn ball and ended up where the text began. Then I saved the whole thing as a jpeg file and uploaded it to my blog. There's an option where you edit the header where you say you want the photo to cover up the existing header text. I checked off that option. I had to play with the size of the photo a bit, I kept cropping it until it was the width I wanted. The istock photo cost a couple of bucks.
I hope this helps.
I also created a similar custom header for my bear store blog www.mostlybears.blogspot.com. I am going to use that blog to document our upcoming road trip in our little motorhome. (so my customers can see where we have been and when we're coming back!)
You do have a lovely blog and I enjoyed browsing through it today. Trish
To frijolita, I enjoyed your blog photos! Thanks! Trish
